"i bought the 500 three yrs ago, have upgraded three times, they have all worked well, been using many yrs now on bears have had some so close you could almost touch them, bears come straight down wind and , sometimes they know something is wrong but its not enough to spook them off, same on deer, highly recommend, yes alot of money but you spend that on a good pair boots or camo and they wont help you as much as this unit will, all i can say is that it works for me. "Had two coyotes come downwind. The larger one checked up briefly and wind checked and then continued on. We all know that if a coyote catches your wind, they are outta there in a flash! I ended up harvesting a 7-1/2 yr old 7 pointer that evening that also came from the downwind side. I guess you could say that I am now a believer!!"
